Welcome Ashley Back to the CK Team

Ashley recently rejoined the ColinKurtis team as an Account Manager. We wanted to catch up with her to see what’s new.

What is your new role at ColinKurtis?

As an Account Manager at ColinKurtis, I help build and maintain relationships with our clients. I am the link between the client and our internal team, so I work to keep projects moving forward on time and on strategy.

What does a typical day look like?

I like to start my mornings reviewing my to-do list that I create at the end of the previous day, answering any early emails and prepping meeting materials. Having that to-do list before I log in helps me prioritize so I can knock out tasks in between client calls and creative meetings. I also make sure I have a short break incorporated daily—as a remote worker, I’ve learned that stepping away from my desk daily for lunch or a short walk is super important for my productivity.

What part of your role do you enjoy the most?

I love that I get to be a part of all aspects of a client’s plan. I get to wear a strategic hat and help move projects from start to finish, which satisfies my detail-oriented side. But, I also get to participate in creative brainstorms and see amazing design work from our team, which hits my creative side as well.

Can you tell us a little about your professional background?

I have about nine years of marketing, client service, and project management experience within several industries. I also have a special interest in nutrition and food, so returning to ColinKurtis was a no-brainer when it comes to becoming an expert in that area.

How do you enjoy spending your time outside the office?

I love to try new dinner recipes, binge-watch good TV shows, and spend as much time outside as I can during our short summers here in the Midwest. I also love to travel when I can.

What did you want to be when you grew up (before you knew you would have a career in marketing)?

Interior designer. Now, I just rearrange my space and take a trip to the home store way too many times in a one-year timespan.
