What is your new role at ColinKurtis?
I am a Social and Digital Media Coordinator!
What does a typical day look like?
I start my day by going through my email and tasks. I then make a master to-do list and prioritize what needs to be done that day. A typical day includes a mix of drafting social media copy and graphics, developing content calendars, writing blogs, and managing ad content.
What part of your role do you enjoy the most?
I like that no two days are the same. While I regularly work on similar things every day, each client is different or timely projects will come up that switch up my day-to-day tasks.
Can you tell us a little about your professional background?
I recently graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a BA in Advertising and Public Relations. I interned and worked part-time with ColinKurtis for a year before starting full-time.
How do you enjoy spending your time outside the office?
I live in Chicago and enjoy exploring the city to find new restaurants or coffee shops. You can also find me trying to cook or bake new recipes. I also love visiting my family in New England when I can.
What did you want to be when you grew up (before you knew you would have a career in marketing)?
I was really into dance (and took classes starting at the age of 5), so in high school, I considered going to school for it. However, I never ended up doing it and decided to put my creative energy into advertising instead.
